JAMB Change of Institution & Course/Data Correction Procedure 2020

Why you Need to Change
After writing your JAMB examination, you may not meet up with the JAMB cut off mark of your desired school or course, to increase your chances of getting admission, you need to do a JAMB change of course or institution.
If you also notice a mistake on your name, date of birth or other personal information, you can also change them by purchasing the JAMB change of course, institution and personal data correction form.
When Can you Change your Course, Institution or Personal Data?
The JAMB change of institution, course or personal data usually commences a few weeks after the JAMB UTME exam. Sometimes it may take more time.
Once it commences and you are certain you need to change, we recommend you do the changes quickly so that your data will synchronise with the school you want to apply for.
There has been issues were students cannot purchase Post-UTME form because they did the change of institution late.
How to do a JAMB Change of Institution and Course
Before you change your institution or course, make sure that you meet the O’level requirement and correct JAMB subject combination of the new course you want to change to.
If you change to a particular course without meeting these two requirements, you may not be admitted at all.
Follow the steps below to do your JAMB change of institution or course;
Step 1: Login to your JAMB profile at portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility./
If you have forgotten your login details, check how to retrieve JAMB email and password here.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on “Registration (2020 only)”.
Step 3: Click on “2020 UTME Data correction”. If you are a direct entry candidate, click on “2020 DE Data correction”.
Step 4: Select choice of institution/course correction.
Step 5: Click on Make new payment.
Step 6: Select your preferred payment method. You can choose either Remita or Unified Payment.
Step 7: Complete the Payment with your debit card or go to the bank to pay if you chose Remita.
Step 8: After payment, go to a JAMB CBT centre to complete the JAMB change of course.
How to Change Personal Data on JAMB
Changing personal data on JAMB means you want to change or edit your name, date of birth or state of origin.
This correction can only be done once so make sure the personal data you want to correct tallies with all your other certificates.
Follow the steps below to correct your personal data on JAMB;
Step 1: Login to your JAMB profile at portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility./.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click on “Registration (2020 only)”.
Step 3: Click on “2020 UTME Data correction”. If you are a direct entry candidate, click on “2020 DE Data correction”.
Step 4: Select other corrections.
Step 5: Click on “Make New Payment”.
Step 6: Select your preferred payment method. You can choose either Remita or Unified Payment.
Step 7: Complete the Payment with your debit card or go to the bank to pay if you chose Remita.
Step 8: After payment, go to a JAMB CBT centre with to complete the change.
You have to go to the CBT center with the following documents;
- Birth certificate.
- WAEC result/certificate.
- JAMB Original result.
