NECO SSCE Result Released – 2018/19
The National Examination Council, NECO, has released the results of the 2018 NECO SSCE examinations. The results came out earlier than expected as NECO results usually come out from the first to second week of September.
However, this is good news for students who are waiting for their NECO results in order to get their post-UTME forms.
In a press conference signed by the Registrar of the council, Alhaji Abubakar M.Gana, it was reported that there was a drastic decrease in examination malpractice this year.
Mr Gana said that a total of 1,041,536 candidates registered for the examination, 1,032,728 candidates wrote the exam while about 9,000 candidates who registered didn’t write the exam.
Analysis from the registrar states that 71.48 percent of candidates had 5 credits and above in subjects including English and Mathematics. This is an improvement against 2017’s 70.85 percent.
Candidates are expected to purchase a NECO scratch card to check their results online.
