What is the full meaning of Neco?
NECO stands for the National Examination Council. It’s a Nigerian examination board responsible for conducting exams for:
- Primary school students seeking admission to government secondary schools (NCEE).
- Junior secondary school students transitioning to senior secondary level (BECE).
- Senior secondary school students aiming to pursue tertiary education (SSCE).
What is NECO’s website?
The National Examination Council’s official website can be found at neco.gov.ng.
Can I check NECO result without a token?
No, you cannot. You need a NECO result checker token to check your result. This token contains a series of numbers you will provide while checking your NECO result.
How can I upgrade my Neco result?
NECO results cannot be upgraded. Anybody who tells you that they can upgrade your NECO result is only trying to scam you off your money.
When will NECO result come out?
NECO SSCE internal results are released around September or early October while NECO SSCE external results are released around February.
What Does NO CA3 Mean?
You can experience this issue while trying to check your NECO result. NO CA3 means your school did not upload your continuous assessment 3 on NECO’s database. If you are having this issue, your result will not be released.
To resolve this issue, go to the school where you wrote the exam, you will be required to pay the sum of 20,000 Naira to the examination council’s account as a penalty for late submission.
Can I combine WAEC and NECO result for Admission?
Yes, you can combine WAEC and NECO results for admission. Any school that accepts two sittings will accept a WAEC and NECO combination. For instance, Yaba College of Technology and the University of Uyo accept two sittings.
How do I get the NECO examination timetable?
There are two versions of the NECO timetable readily available online; They are the NECO SSCE internal timetable and the NECO SSCE external timetable. Click on the appropriate link to download the NECO timetable;

How can I get the NECO office address?

Where can I buy a NECO result checker token?

How can I collect my Original NECO result?
You can get your original NECO ssce result from the secondary school where you did the examination. The NECO SSCE external original result can be obtained at the NECO office.
There was a mistake on my NECO result, how do I correct it?
If there’s a mistake in your NECO result, the principal of your secondary school has to write a letter to NECO telling them to correct the issue. If the error is on your NECO SSCE external result, you have to visit a NECO office to file your complaint. Once you get your result, you should check it thoroughly to check for errors.
Requests for correction of results have to be made within a maximum of one month after the results are released.
I have misplaced my NECO exam number, how do I recover it?
